The workshop

With a particular focus on the fabrications of adobe bricks, this workshop aimed to offer a first insight into what building with earth means.

Participants have initially learned which are the main ingredients hence the right quantities to mix together. After mixing the materials with hands and feet, they finally molded the mixture into a frame, which was then removed to create the next brick. This technique is relatively simple, yet extremely versatile in its applications.

There is no other way to understand the incredible potentials of the earth – its stability, its haptic treasures, its richness in colors, its positive influence on our body and mind – than with a practical approach. It is difficult to learn all this from books, you need to get your hands dirty!
